One must find answers to all these questions if they are going to know with a certainty how the Bible is to be understood. To not understand the words of God is to not know the God of Israel at all.
The God of Israel never has made any Covenants with any Gentile Nation. The only Covenants He ever made were with Abraham and his people. Abraham's people became the Nation of Israel whom He called His People, "Israel". They are the only people He calls by His own Name, "Israel," and they are the People of the Hebrew Bible that we carry to our Churches. There were provisions written into both Covenants He made with the Nation of "Israel," for all peoples, of all nations to join themselves to the Covenants of Israel and to the Christ of Abraham. All mankind could have joined themselves to one of His Covenants He made with Israel. Both Covenants were made for the Jews and the Gentiles alike, to return to living His Holy Way of life, called Salvation. (Isa 56:1-7 KJV) "Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. {2} Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. {3} Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. {4} For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; {5} Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. {6} Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; {7} Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people."
The God of Israel's Covenants contained provisions for all Gentile people from every Nations to join the God of Israel and receive His Christ into them for their Salvation. Col 1:27 "is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" By receiving the Christ of Israel as their Saviour, they would become partakers of "the commonwealth of Israel" , and partakers of "the covenants of promise," having hope, and with God in the world. The God of Israel would become their God, and they would receive His Salvation along with all the Righteous People of the Nation of "Israel". They would all be His People. All People who have had their sins forgiven, by repenting and returning to the God of Israel's Righteous LIFE, have His Salvation. Man's past sins can only be paid for by the Death of the Son of the God of Israel, "Jesus Christ" on the Cross at Calvary. There is no other way then by the death of the Jewish Christ of Israel, for you to have your past sins blotted out by the God of Israel. The one's who have repented of their sins against the Holy God of Israel and returned to living the Righteous Life that all the Citizens of the Kingdom of God live, will receive His everlasting Name and Life in His Everlasting Kingdom. The Hebrew Bible that people carry to Church contains the History of the fulfillment of the Old Covenants that the God of Israel made with His Nation, Israel. The final fulfillment of the Old Covenant with Israel was the destruction of all who had bowed their knees to Baal (Sun) Worship. All who had not bowed their knee to Baal, the Sun God, were saved into the New Kingdom by God's election of Grace. It will be the same for all in the New Covenant. If you are bowing your knee in BAAL (keeping holidays that were dedicated to the sun) in your worship of Christ, ytou will not receive His election of Grace.
(Rom 11:4-5 KJV) "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. {5} Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace."
We must remember that within the Covenants He made with Israel, there are provisions to destroy everyone, and that includes you and me, if we will not keeping the first four Commandments in His Holy Word not to worship other gods.
(1 Cor 3:17 KJV) "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." Man must live their lives from Him, in His Holy Life style as thy are His Temple. (Rom 6:23 KJV) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
The Christ of Israel did fulfill every promise He had made to Israel in the First Covenant and even the things in the New Covenant. He saved the Righteous believers in the Nation of Israel into the New Testament Body of Christ, and destroyed all the ones who had worshipped the Pagan gods of the Roman and Babylonian Empires. The final conclusion of the Old Covenant age was the destruction of the people and the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD. It was finalized in the Jewish people being driven out of the Nation of Israel by the Roman Armie and being hunted down and killed by the Roman Government and later by State Churches of the Roman Empire. The Jewish Christians were also killed by the Roman Government and State Churches as they were identified as Jews, being Sabbath Keepers and keeping only Jewish Holidays. This ceased when the Church of the Jewish Christ went into apostasy by keeping the Pagan's Sun-Day and the Roman Holidays of the Babylonian Roman Empire to avoid their persecutions.
Christ brought His New Covenant Church that He had promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 to the Nation of Israel, into its fulfillment in the New Testament Church called "the Sect of the Nazarenes". The Kingdom of God was established here on earth by the Life of the Father living anew in Jesus as the "Christ" and also in His Disciples as the Christ. The people who walked with Jesus Christ in His days were all called Messianic (Christ) Jews. The Bible uses the word, Christians. (Acts 11:26 KJV) "And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."
Paul took the same Gospel that Jesus Christ preached to the Jews, to the Jews and Gentiles alike in the Gentile Nations. The Christ in Jesus and the Christ in Paul, both preached that the only way to have the Kingdom of God come into your life by the Anointing, and to have Christ's Salvation was to live a life of Holiness in Christ.
Heb 12:14 KJV) "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"
Mat 19:16-19 KJV) " -- Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? {17} And he said unto him,--- but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. {18} He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, {19} Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
(Luke 1:74-75 KJV) "That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, {75} In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life."
(Rom 6:22 KJV) "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."
The Wording in the God of Israel's Covenant (His Words) does not give a man an opportunity to continue living a life of transgressing His Holy Laws, as we can see from the scriptures above.
Heb 2:2-3 KJV) "For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; {3} How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;"
When the Man Jesus was Anointed as the Christ of Israel, the Church of the God of Israel was no longer a Physical Nation. It became a Spiritual Nation of Holy people known from that point on as "the Kingdom of God" from Heaven. The Kingdom in Heaven had come down from Heaven, to LIVE in the lives of Holy men by the Anointing called "Christ" in Greek.
(Mat 6:10 KJV) "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Mat 6:33 KJV) "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
The reality of the fulfillment of the New Testament, was Christ setting up His Righteous Kingdom here on earth in the hearts (Lives) of Righteous men and woman who had kept His Holy Commandments as Commanded in both Covenants. (Luke 17:21 KJV) "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (Mat 19:17 KJV) "And he said unto him, - "but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." The sign and wonders that the Christ in them did in His own Name were the confirmations that the Kingdom had truly come back into the lives of Righteous men as He had promised.
(Mark 16:17-20 KJV) "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; {18} They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. {19} So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. {20} And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
(John 10:25 KJV) "Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me." (John 10:37-38 KJV) "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. {38} But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him."
(John 14:12-15 KJV) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. {13} And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. {14} If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. {15} If ye love me, keep my commandments."
The Father's New Testament Church was established here on earth by Christ coming down from Heaven to live once again in man. The Anointing (Christ) from the Father's Life, coming into Jesus and His followers, established the "Kingdom of God on earth. The Kingdom of God here on earth was called by the Jews in the days of Jesus and Paul, "the Sect of the Nazarenes".
(Acts 24:5 KJV) "For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:"
Jesus Christ was the HEAD of His Body, the Church, who consisted of Jewish believers that had accepted and believed that He was the Messiah of Israel. When the Father made Jesus, the Christ King of the Jews, He established His Church (Kingdom of God) here on Earth. That Kingdom would be living in the lives of the Disciples forever. All that followed the teaching of Jesus the Christ, at that tim,e were called the Sect of the Nazarenes. Rom 9:26-28 KJV) "And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. {27} Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: {28} For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth."
By anointing Jesus as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords over His New Testament Church here on earth, which is called the Kingdom of God and "the Sect of the Nazarenes" in the Bible, God the Father fulfilled the promises of the New Testament to His Nation Israel.
(Heb 8:10-11 KJV) "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: {11} And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest."
All believers born into and of the Kingdom of God know their birth Father. They are all keeping His Holy Laws as they are not living their lives as citizens of the earthly kingdoms, but as citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom.
(Mat 12:28 KJV) "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you."
The New Testament Church, the Kingdom of God, was in full operation in Israel before the Gospel went to the Gentile Nations.
(Mark 1:15 KJV) "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mat 12:28 KJV) "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you."
(Acts 20:28 KJV) "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."
(Mat 18:17 KJV) "And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican." The Church of Christ was established here on earth even before the New Testament was written down. The present so called Christian to day is not a true copy of that Church.
Remember, the stories we have in the New Testaments of our Bibles, are the "History" of the setting up of "God's Kingdom" here on earth. They are not something that is going to happen in the future to the Nation of Israel. They have already happened. Now it is up to us to enter into it. "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
(Acts 2:47 KJV) " Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."
(Acts 5:11-12 KJV) "And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. {12} And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch."
The Kingdom of God that was set up by the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, was a Jewish Kingdom, with Him being the Head of the "Sect of the Nazarenes", and the Master over it. As King, Christ Jesus is now sitting on the Throne of King David as the King of the Jews.
(Isa 9:7 KJV) "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (Mat 2:2 KJV) "Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews?" (Mat 27:37 KJV) "And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
From reading the New Testament, you can find proof that the Jews were divided into five major sects or movements. All Five Sects were SECTS of Judaism and they met on the Porches of the Temple on the Sabbath Day to hear the Books of the Prophets read to them every Sabbath Day. Jesus Christ, who was called the Nazarene, was the Leader of the Sect named after Him. He met with His followers on the porch of the Temple on the Sabbath Day to read the Books of the Prophets and to expound upon them
(Mat 12:8 KJV) "For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day." (Luke 4:16-19 KJV) "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was{17} And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, {18} The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, {19} To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
The Jewish Bible teaches that it was the custom of Jesus Christ to enter into the Temple every Sabbath Day and to worship and teach. It was also the custom of His Apostle Paul, who was sent to the Gentiles, to go to the Jewish synagogue every Sabbath Day to teach the Jewish and also the Gentiles who had joined themselves to Judaism. The Gentile believers who had joined themselves to the Covenant of Israel and to their Christ, all went to the same synagogue to hear Paul preach about the Christ that the Father had sent to Israel. They came to learn all about the Kingdom of God and the Christ who had been promised, and came, to the Nation Israel. Paul and Jesus Christ only had the Old Testament to Preach the "Kingdom of God from. The New Testament teaching of Christ and Paul were not written down untel long after the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 13:14-17 KJV) "But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. {15} And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. {16} Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience. {17} The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it."
In the following passage found in Eph 2: 10-14, we have Paul, of the Sect of the Nazarenes, writing to the Gentiles, He told the Gentiles how they too must become part of the Commonwealth of Israel and they must take hold of the Covenant that the God of Israel had made with Israel. They needed to know the God of Israel, and to enter the New Testament "Kingdom of God". Every one must be born again from their present Carnal kingdom of "DEATH" into the "Kingdom of LIFE that is in the Christ of Israel. One must have Christ's LIFE in them, that comes from His Anointing from above. Salvation is only found in the God of Israel's Anointing (Christ) from His Everlasting Kingdom.
(Eph 2:10-14 KJV) "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. {11} Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; {12} That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: {13} But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. {14} For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;" (Eph 4:3-6 KJV) "Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. {4} There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; {5} One Lord, one faith, one baptism, {6} One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
There is not One Kingdom of God for the Jews and a second Kingdom of God for the Gentile. There is only One God, the God of Israel, and only One Kingdom of God that belongs to the God of Israel. However there is a false god that has set up his kingdom on earth. That kingdom is called the kingdom of darkness, and it is a kingdom of death. It does not keep the God of Israel's Commandments that He ordained to give Everlasting Life. That is why everyone in kingdoms other than the God's of Israel, are dead in their transgressions. There is only One TRUE God, and that God is the God of Israel. He is the God of the Bible who created mankind, and He is both God of the Jews and of the Gentiles. If the Jews and Gentiles alike want His Salvation, that only comes by being born again into His Kingdom by His Holy Spirit once again living in them as Lord and Master, they must both accept the God of Israel's Plan (Covenant) for their Salvation. Remember, there is not one plan for the Jew and one for the Gentile. There is only one Bible and it contains the same plan for both.
Eph 2:14 "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;"
(Acts 21:25 KJV) "As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication."
"He shall be called a Nazarene".
(Mat 2:22-23 KJV) "But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: {23} And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene."
Paul was a Disciple of Jesus Christ. He was called the "ring leader of the Sect of the Nazarenes".
(Acts 24:5 KJV) "For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:"
Paul exhorts us, who was the ring leader of the Sect of the Nazarenes, that we should follow him even as he followed the man called the Nazarene, Jesus Christ. This is not an endorsement of the Protestant Church called the Nazarenes. They are a SECT of the Roman Sunday Church that was establish by the Protestant movement that came out of the Roman Catholic Church.
(1 Cor 4:15-17 KJV) "For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. {16} Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. {17} For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church." (1 Cor 10:33 KJV) "Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved." (1 Cor 11:1 KJV) "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."
(Phil 2:12 KJV) "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
In order to understand the God of Israel's Salvation, one must understand just who a Jew is by God's defination.
(Rom 1:16 KJV) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." In this scripture calling a person a Jew or a Greek is simply referring to the race of people he is from.
Paul, who was a Benjamite by birth, recognized that in the eyes of the God of Israel that the race one is born of gives no man an advantage with Him. True, an Israelite or Jew has an advantage over Gentiles to know the God of Israel. Especially in the day of Jesus Christ. The Jewish people had the Old Testament that Jesus Christ taught from. The Gentiles had no such book. Now the whole world has access to the Jewish Bible that He gave the whole world through the Israelites. The Israelites were the only people who had His Holy Laws in a written form at the that time.
But if a Jew does not live his life in accordance with the Holy Laws of the Jew's God, he is not considered to be a Jew, but a Gentile, because He is not walking in the ways of the God of the Jews, but is a worker of iniquity G459. Iniquity = 459. anomos, an'-om-os; from G1 (as a neg. particle) and G3551; lawless, i.e. (neg.) not subject to (the Jewish) law; (by impl. a Gentile), or (pos.) wicked:--without law, lawless, transgressor, unlawful, wicked.
This is made very clear in the following passage:
(Rom 2:23-29 KJV) "Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? {24} For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. {25} For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. {26} Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? {27} And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? {28} For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: {29} But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."
(John 4:22-24 KJV) "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. {23} But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. {24} God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." When Jesus Christ told the woman at the well that SALVATION was of the Jews, He was not talking about Salvation being of the carnal Jew's Religion This was a religion born out of a life of rebellion against keeping the Laws that the God of Israel had He had given them. He was talking of the Spiritual Jews, who are from both the Jewish and Gentile Nations who keep the Holy Laws of the God of Israel and live their lives in the Spirit of the Law of Life.
(Rom 7:14 KJV) "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin." The Jewish FAITH that Salvation is of, is the Jewish FAITH where they live in the Spirit of the Law so that the Spirit of the Law giver, lives in them.
(1 John 3:23-24 KJV) "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. {24} And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."
(1 John 4:1 KJV) "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
